We’re Moving! As we prepare to commemorate America 250, we are relocating into an office that will enable us to better serve you. Starting this December, we will work out of the American Psychological Association building at 750 First Street NE, which is right across the street from Union Station and less than a twenty-minute walk from the Capitol steps.
This limited-edition U.S. Capitol Historical Society ornament embraces the spirit of American history and pays homage to our Temple of Democracy: the U.S. Capitol. Often referred to as “the most famous building in the world,” the Capitol beautifully combines form with function in a classically inspired design. This enchanting ornament includes six panels highlighting key features of the U.S. Capitol building, including: the Statue of Freedom which crowns the Dome, the Apotheosis of Washington from inside the Dome, Vinnie Ream’s marble statue of Abraham Lincoln which stands in the Rotunda, the Great Seal of the United States, and the Dome itself as viewed on the East and West fronts.
