We’re Moving! As we prepare to commemorate America 250, we are relocating into an office that will enable us to better serve you. Starting this December, we will work out of the American Psychological Association building at 750 First Street NE, which is right across the street from Union Station and less than a twenty-minute walk from the Capitol steps.
The most distinctive feature of the U.S. Capitol is the cast iron dome designed by Thomas U. Walter and constructed from 1855-1866 at a cost of just over $1 million. The dome -- constructed with approximately 4 1/2 tons of iron -- is a masterpiece of engineering and design. It is easily one of the most recognized icons in the world. This optic crystal piece is exquisitely detailed. A 3D suspended laser reproduction of Walter's masterpiece of design is featured in this classic paperweight. Gift boxed. (Approximately 4" H X 2 1/2" X 2 1/2" W).
