For the past several decades, the USCHS Calendar has reached back to the early years of the American Republic to recount events and occurrences for each day corresponding to the same date 200 years earlier. This year, the calendar continues that tradition by exploring daily life in the United States in 1826. As a special commemoration of the National Semiquincentennial (America 250), this calendar also features important events from each month of 1776.
